Lockdown Landscapes: Be Somewhere Else #2

Another landscape that emerged after 8 weeks lockdown with two young children. The first few days returning to my studio I just wanted to paint and these imaginary landscapes appeared unexpectedly. Delighted to be painting again, I worked quickly and without aforethought and these glorious skies appeared and the dramatic landscape in unfettered colour. As if within these fantastical landscapes were imagining themselves in my subconscious and I was finally letting them out.
