Now - Ahmaud Arbery & Martin Luther King (3641)

Inspiration: My roots are in Georgia where I was born & raised in the 60s, but I have lived in France now for the past 40 years. When I heard in April on French news of the death of Ahmaud Arbery being shot while he was jogging down the street in February, I could not sleep or think of anything else until I painted him. I painted him as if he is being welcomed by Dr Martin Luther King. I wanted to honor the two men by doing a duo portrait.
