Foghorn

MacKerricher State Park is a natural preserve located a few miles north of Mendocino, California. I discovered this park and beach during the Mendocino Paint-Out, and walked the beach and the riparian terrain of Laguna Lake nearby. I settled on this view of the beach because, to me, it best represents the Quiet of northern California beaches, and the peace to be found there. With a painting knife, razor blade, and Satin Glazing Medium, I worked over the rocks and water for varying degrees of transparency and opacity.
