These beautiful Charolais cattle are my neighbors. Something happens when you drive past a field of cows, they all turn and look at you. What I found beautiful was the way their colors weaved in and out of the snow-covered trees. Only the red Charolais calf was prominent. The first question people ask is what is a Red Charolais?? Typically, we think of them as only white. The Red Charolais is Pure Charolais genetics; they are not crossed with red cattle to make them red. A typical white colored Charolais is really red but has a dilution gene causing it to dilute to white.
