As an avid hiker, I often discover my best painting scenes while hiking to locations that take a bit of effort to reach. This one was during a sunset hike just outside Bend, OR to the top of Tumalo Mountain, which offered this spectacular view of Mt. Bachelor right at that moment of last light on the mountain.
