Breaking Dawn over the Jebels

This image is inspired by sunrise in the jebels (hills) nearby where I live the morning after a rain storm during the night. Rain storms are rare in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Rain swept the sky clean of the pervasive lingering dust revealing hues of blue usually hidden by the haze. The desert sparkled as if it had been dusted with diamond and gold dust, and a few lingering pools of clear water are bravely resisting the coming sun; yet they were gone within the hour.
