My work is executed entirely with soft pastel on Sennelier Sanded Pastel Card (heavy textured paper-board). I work on location (outdoors) for my landscapes and never use photographs. I rarely re-work a painting in the studio, if it is done on location. This pastel painting was done in a single session on a hill behind my house in Eichstaett, Bavaria, Germany.
