My works are executed in soft pastel on Sennelier Sanded Pastel Card (heavy textured paper-board). This pastel painting was completed entirely on location (outdoors) in Noyers-sur-Serein, Burgundy (France) during my artist residency at "La Porte Peinte Centre Pour Les Arts". I work in 4 hour blocks, returning to the same location for several days, as needed, to complete a work. (After four hours the light changes too significantly to continue on the same work.) This pastel was done between the hours of 10AM and 2PM over five consecutive days.
