"Not Going Anywhere Anytime Soon" was painted entirely en plein air at Washington Sailing Marina in Alexandria, Virginia, a favorite place of mine for plein air painting. Marinas represent for me a calmness but the sailboats remind us that on a good windy day it is possible to escape the business and busyness of life.
