Breakfast by the Roses

oil painting - plein air over 4 mornings, 2-3 hours each session. Painted in my garden during lock down on a glories and really hot week in May 2020. I wanted a record of the roses that were singing! I set up the breakfast scene as I'm interested in scenes in the open air that look like the people have just left and you wonder where to and who.. There was toast and butter on the plate. But the dog eat that.
