Ode to the City

I've been painting sunsets plein air a lot lately, but did this painting from a sunrise photo I took in Chicago when I lived there many years ago. So many stressful things have happened this year to people I know who still live there that I wanted to paint it illuminated by the sunrise. I've done four small paintings of the skyline so far, and am sending them to a gallery I show at there.
