I was desperate to go plein air painting the other day so I ran out as fast as I could to find a good place to paint because storms were coming. I found this beautiful field at Caesar’s Creek State Park and I had blast capturing the air of anticipation as the storm blew in. The rain started to come down in buckets just 5 min after I packed up and got in my car! That was a close one! I loved the different textures and colors and wildflowers (including black eyed susans) in the field and how everything was being tossed around in the gusty wind. It is painted with oils on a linen panel.
