a private Provence

I am fortunate to have been invited to a neighborhood farm to paint where the owners have newly planted rows of several varieties of lavender. I'm overjoyed not to have to travel to France for this! I used oil on hardboard I had protected with oil primer, and I painted for two hours this beautiful sunny morning.
