Majestic Sovereingty
Depiction of one of our unbelievably real divided skies as a front rolled through on the SW Gulf Coast. As an Artist, thankful may hold onto the good in our unbelievably real divided skies as a front rolls through and reflect what always remains through it all-- ‘Majestic Sovereignty.’ Think this may be the 1st painting ever posted online, used as my signature piece for years. Circa 2001. Way before these type of competitions. The uniqueness of entries into the Plein Air Salon, paintings from any year, and already sold are ok. In the spirit of that, and this months judge, am entering a bit differently this month. As Artist's we learn a lot through the years, beyond our painting. In honor of being taught how important it is to keep a record of where and when we painted. I had to look up the year for this entry, though knew exactly where I was standing at the time, at Casperson's; a preserved shoreline in our little town. Though it is a preserved shoreline, nature keeps it ever changing. Again, thankful that through the seasons and any divide, Majestic Sovereignty remains, and seems the perfect reply to this seasons call to current events.
