I am grateful for a lovely garden at my home. Normally, I am off several days a week painting plein air at great vistas and dramatic scenes. The quarantine allowed me the time to focus on the beauty of my own yard and a delightful, peony and boxwood path created by my dear gardener, my husband. I was grateful for opportunity to finally capture it as well as the - for me - uplifting sunshine. I know the story of this path and all the plants that came to be there. I look forward to them every spring. Now, finally I was painting it all from my cozy spot with my iced coffee while under my umbrella and felt extraordinarily happy to be painting plein air.
