In this painting I featured freshly picked tulips from the nearby Skagit Valley tulip fields set against a warm, transparent background. The undulating jade leaves and velvet petals were truly inspiring and I felt compelled to capture them on the panel. In my works I use handmade oils on acrylic primed masonite board.
