Shade of the Mary Stewart

Painted on location over the course of four days at Wharfinger Marina, Eureka, CA. I was struck by the feel of the space, the cool, yet warm reflected light were all such a playground of color to venture. I'd dance with them until the frustration took over each day. Finally, I found what I wanted to take with me on the fourth day and I signed it.
